START OF SMARTAVIA FLIGHTS HANDLING
28/03/2022
Moscow Cargo LLC started handling cargo and mail on Smartavia flights, which with the start of the spring-summer flight schedule changed its main airport in the capital opting for Sheremetyevo the largest Russian air hub in terms of passenger and cargo traffic.
When deciding to transfer all Moscow flights to Sheremetyevo, Smartavia was guided by the interests of its clients and prospects for further successful development of the company. As Sergei Savostin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the airline, noted: “We are starting flights from the new home airport at a difficult time, but with the confidence that cooperation with Sheremetyevo International Airport will give us new opportunities in expanding the route network, providing high-quality passenger service and meeting all requirements, incorporated into our strategy as a smart low-cost carrier.”
In particular, one of the key requirements of Smartavia is the fulfillment of the standard set by the airline for handling turnaround flights within 40 minutes. Compliance with this standard is possible only if some of the operations are carried out in an accelerated or parallel manner, which requires well-functioning interaction between all divisions providing ground handling at the airport, and high professional qualifications of the personnel involved.
Successful cooperation with the largest Russian low-cost carrier, the Pobeda airline, has given Moscow Cargo LLC a proven track record of effective low-cost flights, which, along with modern infrastructure and an extensive fleet of special apron equipment, determined Smartavia's decision when choosing a handling agent.
We are pleased to see Smartavia as our regular partner and are proud that the quality of our services attracts new carriers to cooperation, thus expanding the logistics capabilities of our customers.
