About Us
Moscow Cargo - is the main ground handling operator at Sheremetyevo International Airport.
Moscow Cargo terminal with a total area of 42,300 m², designed to handle 380 thousand tonnes of cargo per year, has no analogues in Russia in terms of technical equipment. High-tech equipment and production facilities for handling of special category cargo allow our terminal to work effectively with all types of cargo without restrictions.
In 2019, the Moscow Cargo terminal handled over 275 thousand tonnes of cargo and mail, showing an increase of 12%, which is significantly higher than both the national rates and the average rates of the global air cargo market.
Modern infrastructure and well-established cargo handling technologies strengthen Moscow Cargo position as the leading company among cargo terminals in Russia, steadily increasing its share. In 2019, the company handled 24% of the total air freight traffic in the Russian Federation and 48.3% of the total air freight turnover in the Moscow Aviation Hub.
High automation level of production processes and digitalization of the company's services, the use of modern apron special equipment and high-tech warehouse equipment, with an effective quality control system allow Moscow Cargo, LLC to comply with the requirements of partner airlines.
At present, Moscow Cargo successfully handles flights of the Russian national flag carrier Aeroflot and Rossiya Airlines (part of the Aeroflot Group of Companies), one of the largest Russian cargo airlines AirBridgeCargo, as well as ATRAN, Belavia and Severstal airlines. Since February 2020, Nordwind (North Wind LLC) and Pegas Fly (Ikar Airline LLC), which are among the TOP-20 largest Russian airlines in terms of cargo turnover, have become new partners of the Sheremetyevo Moscow Cargo terminal.
In 2019, Moscow Cargo, LLC fully fulfilled its obligations to the main air carriers regarding the quality of handling operations, ensuring compliance with the Service Quality Standards Agreement (SLA).
It should be noted that more than 600 tonnes of cargo are handled at the terminal every day. The volume of hub operations on the apron exceeds 450 thousand tonnes per year (we are talking about the so-called pallet transit processed outside the terminal - editor's note).
Moscow Cargo, LLC is constantly working hard to find solutions aimed at optimizing production processes, reducing cargo handling time and improving the quality of customer service.
The best proof of the effectiveness of this work is the improved handling standards.
- 81.2% of cargo arrived on international flights are ready to be released to the consignee within 6 hours after ATA with the established standard of 8 hours;
- 75.3% of cargo arriving on domestic flights are ready to be released to the consignee within 4 hours after ATA, with the established standard of 6 hours.
Active development, modern cargo infrastructure and a high level of digitalization were appreciated by the aviation community. In 2019, the Moscow Cargo terminal became a laureate of the prestigious Eurasian aviation marketing prize in the Special nomination “For the open of the most advanced and high-tech cargo terminal in the Eurasian region”.
Sheremetyevo International Airport and Moscow Cargo, LLC have the goal to offer customers and airlines an absolutely new level of service that meets the best international industry standards. And today Sheremetyevo can rightfully be called one of the most dynamically developing airports in Europe.
Over the past few years, we have made a great progress: we have increased cargo turnover, attracted a number of airlines for cooperation, built and commissioned a modern high-tech cargo complex. And we are not going to stop there. Being a leader means striving every day to meet and exceed growing customer expectations!
